Senior Security Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at Sofia Stars. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security controls, monitoring network activity, and responding to security incidents. Your expertise will help us deliver secure, reliable solutions that our clients can trust.

What You'll Do

• Manage security systems including DLP, XDR, and Network VPN gateways.
• Implement and maintain security control policies to enhance overall security.
• Continuously monitor network activity and system loads to identify potential threats.
• Respond to security incidents and provide support for the SOC team, coordinating incident response efforts.
• Prepare technical documentation after implementing new security controls and system configurations.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration or information security roles.
• Advanced administration of macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including IP networking and routing.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as ISO27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
• Experience with EDR/XDR platforms and enterprise VPN solutions.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with deployment and administration of IDS/IPS solutions.
• Familiarity with security solutions such as PaloAlto and Digital Guardian.
