About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at Spheros, a global leader in manufacturing technology. This Continuous Improvement Engineer remote position focuses on enhancing our production processes and driving efficiency in our operations. You will play a vital role in shaping the future of urban mobility through innovative solutions in heating systems, air conditioning, and refrigeration technology.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct detailed time studies using stopwatch studies, video analysis, and work sampling in assembly and pipe manufacturing lines.
  • Analyze cycle time (CT), takt time, OEE, labor efficiency, and capacity utilization to identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize the Muda framework to identify operational waste and implement corrective actions effectively.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen workshops and rapid improvement events to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Perform line balancing and manpower optimization studies to enhance productivity.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Work documentation to ensure consistency in operations.
  • Optimize plant layout and material flow for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure sustainability of 5S implementation across the facility.
  • Conduct root cause analysis using techniques such as 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis.
  • Lead improvement projects utilizing Six Sigma DMAIC methodology to drive measurable results.
  • Quantify and report improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics.
  • Support digital performance tracking and data-driven decision-making initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly and/or pipe manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in structured time study methodologies; MTM or REFA certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in line balancing and capacity planning.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools such as VSM, SMED, Poka-Yoke, and Kanban.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and analyze process flows.
  • Experience with ERP and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a hands-on shop floor approach.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in digital transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts.
  • Knowledge of automation technologies in manufacturing.
