About the Role

We are seeking an Educational Psychologist to join our team in a hybrid role, where you will play a crucial part in promoting inclusion and bringing about positive change in the lives of children and young people. As an Educational Psychologist, you will work closely with schools, families, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for those you support.

What You'll Do

  • Develop relationships with educational settings as a link Educational Psychologist.
  • Support the local authority in fulfilling its statutory duties.
  • Conduct psychological assessments as part of the Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment process.
  • Utilize evidence-informed interventions to assist schools in implementing a graduated approach for children and young people.
  • Contribute to the development of joined-up working with other professionals and agencies.
  • Engage in project work to enhance the traded service offerings.
  • Deliver training to teachers and staff to improve educational outcomes.
  • Work strategically to develop innovative practices within the educational framework.

Requirements

  • Honours Degree in Psychology or equivalent for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • A recognized teaching qualification and at least two years of qualified classroom teaching experience.
  • A Master's qualification in Educational Psychology.
  • Considerable experience working with children and/or young people and their families.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality casework and strategic work.
  • Experience in innovative practice and project development.

Nice to Have

  • A Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
  • Experience as a main grade Educational Psychologist.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation affecting schools and early years settings.
