We are seeking a skilled Chartered Legal Executive to join our dynamic litigation team at Bristow and Sutor Group. This Chartered Legal Executive remote position offers a unique opportunity to manage a defended caseload while working in a supportive environment. What You'll Do

• Manage a defended caseload using a case management system.
• Review high-value or complex pre-legal debts to assess suitability for legal actions.
• Pursue defended claims through various court tracks by drafting pleadings and witness statements.
• Advise clients on legal matters and assist in overcoming disputes related to non-payment.
• Collaborate with courts and enforcement agencies to maintain high service standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and provide feedback on service quality.
• Participate in training and support colleagues as needed.
• Contribute to the development of new work streams and niche experiences.

Requirements

• A law degree or equivalent legal qualifications.
• Previous experience in debt collection and as a Chartered Legal Executive.
• Experience managing a defended caseload on the Small Claims Track is preferred.
• Strong IT skills and adaptability to new systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Ability to work to targets and thrive under tight deadlines.
• Confidence in dealing with various stakeholders.
• Commitment to service quality and professional feedback.

Nice to Have

• Experience in niche legal work streams.
• Previous training or mentoring experience.
• Proficiency in additional legal software.
