About the Role
We are looking for a Medior Data Engineer to join our team at a fast-growing MedTech scale-up in Utrecht. This Medior Data Engineer role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the healthcare sector. As a Medior Data Engineer, you will turn real-world device data into insights that shape patient care, all while working in a hybrid setup.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain production-grade ETL and ELT pipelines to support operational insights and long-term product performance.
- Develop Python-based data pipelines using modern libraries like Polars, Pandas, and PySpark.
- Run data pipelines in containerized environments and integrate them with AWS orchestration services.
- Collaborate with a Senior Data Engineer to enhance performance and robustness of data systems.
- Investigate data issues and extend automated quality checks to ensure data reliability.
- Translate business requirements into clean datasets and clear dashboards for stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Strong Python skills and familiarity with modern data tooling such as Polars, Pandas, PyArrow, or PySpark.
- Experience with AWS, containers, or DataOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with ETL or ELT pipelines in a data lake or lakehouse environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a regulated environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Who Will Succeed Here
