About the Role
Join Scaleway as a Senior Software Engineer - Hardware Development and help shape the future of sovereign cloud solutions! This Senior Software Engineer - Hardware Development remote position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects at the intersection of software and hardware, contributing to a major new initiative within our Hardware Operations team.
What You'll Do
- Develop high-quality fullstack features using Python (backend) and React (frontend) as a Senior Software Engineer - Hardware Development remote.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate hardware operations.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of diverse projects, ranging from low-level scripting to SaaS applications.
- Maintain and optimize a significant volume of existing code to ensure platform stability.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver the first major milestones of a large-scale new project.
- Ensure rigorous code standards and participate in peer code reviews.
- Build modern user interfaces following Material Design standards.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (Daily stand-ups, Sprints, Retrospectives).
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in fullstack development.
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
- Solid experience with React for frontend development.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative "OneTeam" mindset.
- Highly involved, conscientious, and proactive in project delivery.
- Ability to work autonomously within a structured Scrum environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud computing technologies.
- Knowledge of containerization and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
