Junior Legal Counsel - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to join Maven Securities in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in managing legal operations and providing support across our global trading strategies. As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will be integral in ensuring compliance and addressing legal matters that arise in the fast-paced financial services sector.

What You'll Do

• Manage shareholder and transfer operations, escalating issues as necessary.
• Provide legal support and advice on relevant issues for APAC and EU jurisdictions.
• Review trading agreements and liaise with counterparties on trading matters.
• Negotiate and review commercial agreements, including data and service agreements.
• Advise on new regulations and assist in their implementation, particularly concerning DORA and the EU AI Act.
• Handle non-trading legal issues, such as employment matters and corporate filings.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure corporate compliance.
• Mentor junior team members and assist with their training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the legal sector, preferably in financial services.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build constructive professional relationships.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
