Water Meter Installer - Remote Opportunities Available

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Water Meter Installer to join our team at Berliner Wasserbetriebe. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while ensuring the efficient installation and maintenance of water meters across Berlin. As a Water Meter Installer, you will play a crucial role in the water supply system, contributing to the sustainability and efficiency of our services.

What You'll Do

• Repair and perform maintenance on large and residential water meters.
• Prepare binding cost estimates after measuring and consulting with the project management team.
• Advise on complex alterations and maintenance measures for drinking water installations.
• Coordinate with the project manager regarding shutdowns and commissioning of drinking water connections.
• Monitor the operational safety of repair vehicles.

Requirements

• Completed training as a gas and water installer or plant mechanic with relevant knowledge.
• Alternatively, completed training in a metalworking profession with practical relevant knowledge.
• Knowledge of PE welding and construction site safety regulations.
• Familiarity with DIN 1988 standards.
• Willingness to participate in training courses.
• Class B driver's license.
• Ability to lift and carry devices weighing up to 10 kg.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional appearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience in project management or supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of water quality regulations.
• Fluency in German and English.
