About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Research Associate in Biology to join our dynamic team at Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein. As a Research Associate in Biology, you will engage in scientific activities related to a research project at our eye clinic laboratory, utilizing various in-vitro methods and molecular biology techniques.

What You'll Do

• Conduct scientific research in the laboratory focusing on ophthalmology projects.
• Utilize in-vitro methods including cell culture and organ culture.
• Perform molecular biology tasks such as RNA extraction and RT-PCR.
• Engage in microscopy techniques including immunofluorescence.
• Execute protein biochemistry tasks like Western Blot and ELISA.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Biology or a related scientific field.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and mentor junior researchers.
• Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with supervising scientists and colleagues.
• Previous experience in laboratory settings is preferred.
• Ability to work part-time, approximately 19.25 hours per week.

Nice to Have

• Experience in ophthalmology research.
• Familiarity with advanced microscopy techniques.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics tools.
