About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Group Sales Account Manager to join our dynamic team at Pacific Palms Resort. This remote opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in hotel sales while working with a prestigious hotel and conference center in the San Gabriel Valley. As a Group Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales across Local, Regional, and National markets, focusing on the SMERF, Association, and Government segments.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, meet with, and solicit clients and accounts that utilize hotel rooms in the Southern California area for group travel.
  • Engage in daily activities including cold calls, telemarketing, site visits, and networking to attract new clients.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to maximize room nights and develop action plans to achieve sales goals.
  • Mentor new sales staff and assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support account distribution.
  • Travel to feeder cities to develop client relationships and attend relevant meetings such as Pace Reports and Yield Meetings.
  • Utilize your strong sales skills, including prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills and adhere to departmental standards and procedures.
  • Represent the property professionally and handle any reasonable requests from management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Hospitality Group Sales with a proven track record of achieving financial goals.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Delphi (Sales Force) experience preferred.
  • Exceptional detail in follow-up and solid scheduling experience.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly evaluate alternatives.
  • Equivalent industry experience and a college degree are required.
  • Familiarity with the Los Angeles Regional marketplace is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the SMERF, Association, and Government markets.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage and conference servicing.
  • Active involvement in the local community to develop business.
