Emergency Response Officer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role

What You'll Do
- Provide emergency response, injury management, and security services across the Nyrstar Smelter on a 4 on 4 off day and night roster.
- Maintain appropriate site emergency response in compliance with Major Hazard Facility requirements.
- Undertake first response medical care for injured employees.
- Conduct fire response training and routine maintenance of fire protection systems.
- Provide technical advice for site fire, rescue, injury management, health, and security operations.
- Support site security operations, including bag and equipment searches and drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role or with external emergency services.
- HLT41115 Certificate IV Health Care and Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations).
- Current unrestricted Class C South Australian Driver’s License.
- Current Security Agent license (South Australia) or willingness to obtain.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office; experience in SAP is highly regarded.
- A high level of fitness to undertake the physical requirements of the role.
Nice to Have
- Experience in emergency management in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
