Internship in Debt Capital Markets - Public & Corporate Sector

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate intern for the Debt Capital Markets team at HSBC. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in the public and corporate finance sectors while working in a dynamic environment. As an intern, you will be directly involved in supporting the issuance of bonds in the primary market, contributing to impactful financial solutions.

What You'll Do

• Assist in preparing market updates and tracking new bond issuances.
• Contribute to the preparation of commercial proposals that present tailored solutions to client needs.
• Conduct financial research on clients and assist in developing appropriate financial products.
• Collaborate with client managers, originators, syndicators, and financial analysts.
• Coordinate information among offices in Paris, London, New York, and Asia.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BAC + 4/5 degree in Business School, Finance Master’s, engineering, or university.
• Strong interest in financial markets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus.
• Excellent English proficiency (reading, speaking, writing).
• Motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of teamwork under tight deadlines.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial analysis or capital markets.
• Knowledge of bond markets and public financing.
• Fluency in additional languages.
