Software Engineer II - AI Focused Remote Position

What You'll Do

• Develop AI-powered analytical tools that transform massive datasets into actionable intelligence for the public safety domain.
• Lead the frontend implementation of our AI-driven analysis platform, ensuring highly performant and intuitive user interfaces.
• Utilize RapidSOS's vast datasets to build tools that identify performance patterns and generate insights that improve overall agency outcomes.
• Design scalable patterns to visualize complex relationships, trends, and AI-generated metrics.
• Work across the full stack, leveraging AI tooling to ensure seamless integration between backend data logic and user-facing analytical environments.
• Implement best-in-class software development practices, including unit tests, integration tests, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into the platform, staying updated on AI advancements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on frontend architecture using React and TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI-driven solutions, particularly with LLMs.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear insights for stakeholders.
• A proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and adaptability in tackling diverse challenges.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with SQL and big data platforms like Databricks.
• Familiarity with mission-critical or 24/7 operational products.
