Senior Vice President of Merchandising & Planning - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Vice President of Merchandising & Planning to join Follett Higher Education in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will lead the strategy and performance of our emblematic product business, ensuring that we continue to support over 6 million students across North America. Your leadership will drive omni-channel revenue and margin growth, making a significant impact on our organization.

What You'll Do

• Own and lead the emblematic merchandising & planning strategy and performance.
• Develop best-in-class assortments, including private brand/product development and vendor negotiations.
• Oversee pricing and financial/assortment/location planning activities in emblematic departments.
• Lead and mentor the merchandising & planning teams, ensuring clear communication of strategies, goals, and objectives.
• Set direct goals, provide performance feedback, and assess team performance to align with organizational business plans.
• Manage emblematic monthly sales, margin, and inventory turnover results, including forecasting.

Requirements

• Proven experience in merchandising and planning at a senior leadership level.
• Strong understanding of omni-channel retail strategies and execution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance through effective goal setting and feedback.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis in a retail environment.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on vendor relationships.
