Senior Project Manager - Remote for SAR Satellite Constellation

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team at Helsing, a leading defence AI company. This Senior Project Manager remote role is pivotal in leading the development and operation of our cutting-edge Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) reconnaissance satellite constellation. You will orchestrate all aspects of this complex, multi-year programme, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and stakeholder requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide overall direction and management for the SAR satellite constellation, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams from various partner companies to achieve programme milestones.
• Ensure the successful integration and testing of the satellites and the overall constellation, providing technical guidance.
• Develop, maintain, and control integrated master schedules, cost baselines, and resource allocation.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks and opportunities.
• Serve as the primary interface with internal leadership, external partners, customers, and government stakeholders.
• Provide regular, clear status updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Oversee contract execution, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in programme or project management within the space industry, particularly with satellite systems.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of satellite development lifecycles, including design, manufacturing, testing, launch, and operations.
• Expertise in programme management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be eligible for and willing to undergo clearance process for a German “Ü2” Personal Security Clearance.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science), or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with SAR technology and its applications.
