About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will oversee and manage the planning and scheduling activities for engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing detailed project schedules and coordinating with various departments.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, incorporating all tasks, milestones, and deliverables to ensure project timelines are accurately represented.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, establish priorities, and define project scope.
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying deviations, delays, and potential risks, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates on schedule performance, resource utilization, and potential impacts on project outcomes.
  • Analyze project data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern, and recommend appropriate adjustments to schedules and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources needed for project execution.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing project schedules, progress, and performance indicators for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior planning engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence in project scheduling and management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of working experience, with at least 5 years relevant to planning engineering.
  • Experience in the GCC region is a plus.
  • Professional degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and principles of planning.
  • Familiarity with planning software such as Primavera P6.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze cash flow and project resource management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HSE initiatives and safety awareness activities.
  • Understanding of local and international standards in construction.
