Sushi Chef - Quick Service Restaurant

About the Role

We're hiring a Sushi Chef to join our vibrant team at Inamo's quick service restaurant in Manchester. As a Sushi Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and presenting delicious sushi and sashimi dishes with speed and precision. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven sushi-making experience who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced kitchen.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and present sushi and sashimi dishes with speed, precision, and consistency.
• Demonstrate full sushi chef skills, including hand-rolling sushi to a high standard and expert fish cutting and portioning.
• Ensure sushi rice preparation meets quality and consistency standards.
• Maintain excellent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Support the kitchen team in delivering outstanding service for every guest.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
• Keep your section clean and organized to the highest standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a restaurant, QSR, or food hall environment.
• A passion for service, people, and fresh food, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• High energy and positivity – you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment serving hundreds of guests daily.
• A hunger to learn and develop further; we’ll support you during induction, then you’ll help support others once you’re confident.
• In the spirit of kaizen (continuous improvement), you’re always looking for ways to improve and raise standards.

What We Offer

• Pay rate: £14.00 per hour, translating to an annual salary of approximately £36,480.
