About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst - Financial Services to join our high-performing team at Toucanberry Tech. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge solutions for our financial services clients. Your data analysis skills and financial acumen will be essential in supporting senior business experts as you tackle complex data challenges beyond standard tools like Excel.

What You'll Do

  • Perform complex data manipulation and analysis to support senior business experts and stakeholders.
  • Utilize Python and its data libraries to handle large datasets and automate analytical tasks.
  • Design and execute robust data mapping and analysis projects.
  • Collaborate with expert teams to understand client needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Work in a fast-paced startup environment, adapting quickly to high-pressure situations.

Requirements

  • Domain knowledge: Experience within the operations team of an asset management department, understanding assets data such as financial securities and trading data within the last 2 years.
  • Investment & Financial: Experience with investment-related projects or working in the reinsurance or life insurance domain.
  • SQL: Proficient in data manipulation and querying.
  • DBT: Experience transforming raw data in the warehouse into clean, tested, and documented models using SQL.
  • Python: Familiarity with libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
  • Leadership: Ability to make decisions on data warehousing, self-starter, and lead a team.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in engaging with senior stakeholders, presenting, and articulating insights.
