Senior Civil Engineer - Urban Development (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Urban Development to join our team at Arcadis. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to sustainable design and engineering solutions. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing urban development projects, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and sustainability.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, focusing on urban development elements.
• Manage surface and foul drainage systems, utilities coordination, and groundworks.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Oversee design outputs including drawings, BIM, reports, and specifications.
• Conduct meetings to review and assure quality of engineering deliverables.
• Maintain engineering governance aligned with Arcadis IMS standards.
• Plan and coordinate tasks, resources, and people to meet project budgets and timelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and resolve technical issues as the technical lead.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering; Chartered or Incorporated status preferred.
• Proven experience in civil/urban development design delivery on building projects.
• Proficient in MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and BIM technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SuDS, Sewers for Adoption (SfA), DMRB, and Building Regulations.
• Project management experience, including planning, scheduling, and client management.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to direct teams effectively.
• Strong technical judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Industrial Manufacturing, Technology, or Defence projects.
• Familiarity with advanced engineering software tools.
• Additional certifications in project management or engineering disciplines.
