We are seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at People In AI. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-assurance Generative AI applications, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture and delivering innovative features. As a Senior AI Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in building tools that enhance the predictability and reliability of GenAI development.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and ship production-grade Generative AI capabilities.
  • Build full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Develop observability and AI-tracing systems for complex AI workflows.
  • Own feature delivery from requirements to implementation and iteration.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership teams.
  • Improve performance, reliability, and quality of AI-driven systems.
  • Contribute to internal frameworks and reusable components.
  • Lead and participate in technical discussions and code reviews.

Requirements

  • Ample full-stack software engineering experience.
  • Proven experience with LLM-powered applications, agents, or workflows.
  • Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Familiarity with GenAI development patterns (RAG, embeddings, vector search).
  • Hands-on with orchestration tools (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, etc.).
  • Ability to operate autonomously and make pragmatic technical decisions.
  • Strong debugging, architecture, and performance tuning skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python, vector databases, ML infrastructure, and open-source contributions.
