About the Role

Field AI is seeking a Remote Director of Narrative and Video Storytelling to lead our efforts in transforming how robots interact with the real world. As a key player in our team, you will help shape the narrative around our advanced AI systems and their real-world applications. This role is pivotal in communicating our mission and the capabilities of our autonomous robots, ensuring that our visual storytelling resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You'll Do

  • Define the visual narrative for autonomous robots operating in real environments, ensuring clarity and engagement.
  • Lead storyboarding and end-to-end production of robot capability videos, field footage, and customer testimonials.
  • Establish standards for capturing autonomy, safety, reliability, and edge cases on customer sites.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and field teams to translate complex AI behavior into intuitive visual stories.
  • Build a scalable pipeline for lab, field, and customer-facing video assets.
  • Own the company’s written and visual storytelling outside of video, translating AI and robotics systems into compelling narratives.
  • Oversee the creation of blogs, white papers, case studies, web content, and sales collateral.
  • Ensure consistency and clarity across all creative outputs while preserving technical accuracy.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in storytelling for complex, technical products, particularly in robotics, AI, and autonomy.
  • Strong intuition for visual proof and real-world storytelling.
  • Comfortable working alongside engineers, roboticists, and field teams.
  • Able to translate sophisticated systems into narratives that are accurate, compelling, and human.
  • Experience building or scaling narrative functions in high-growth environments.
  • Proven ability to lead visual storytelling and video production, including storyboarding and field capture.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building a narrative or storytelling function from early stage through scale.
  • Exposure to robotics or autonomous systems.
