As a key member of our character team, you will work on creating photorealistic game models and textures that bring our beloved characters to life. What You'll Do

• Texture editing to enhance character realism.
• Create photorealistic real-time game models, UVs, and textures for NBA 2K.
• Utilize scan data to extract and implement information into game models.
• Incorporate feedback from art directors to refine character assets.
• Integrate character assets into the game engine effectively.
• Troubleshoot and perform quality checks on character assets for optimal performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive character asset development.
• Learn and utilize Shotgrid project management tool for efficient workflow.
• Participate in team meetings to align on project goals and updates.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a character artist in the gaming industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing character modeling and texturing skills.
• Proficiency in software such as Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
• Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Ability to work collaboratively and take constructive feedback.
• Knowledge of current trends in character design and gaming.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for gaming.

Nice to Have

• Experience with motion capture data integration.
• Familiarity with Shotgrid or similar project management tools.
• Understanding of rigging and animation principles.
