Quality Engineer - Remote Opportunities Available
About the Role
Join North American Lighting, Inc. as a Quality Engineer and explore exciting remote opportunities in the automotive manufacturing sector. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our products while working in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare advanced quality planning documents and participate in quality planning activities, including FMEA’s, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Charts, and Gage R&R and capability studies.
- Create necessary documentation for customer initial sample submissions, including AQP and customer documents.
- Travel to customer facilities to participate in all phases of the customer’s launch activities, including component review team meetings and assembly trials.
- Coordinate the resolution of quality issues and implementation of countermeasures with other NAL departments and suppliers.
- Perform technical and statistical investigations to ensure product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with 0 to 2 years of related manufacturing experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements.
Nice to Have
- Experience with quality control systems and methodologies.
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools.

Who Will Succeed Here
Proficient in Quality Control methodologies such as FMEA and Gage R&R, with a strong understanding of statistical analysis tools like Minitab or JMP to analyze data effectively.
Self-motivated and disciplined, able to thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating strong time management skills to balance multiple quality assurance projects and deadlines.
Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement, capable of creating and interpreting Process Flow Diagrams and Control Charts to identify and mitigate quality risks.
