Critical Facilities Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are hiring a Critical Facilities Engineer to join our team at Vantage Data Centers. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our critical data center systems. As a Critical Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our data center infrastructure, which is vital for our customers' uptime and service quality.
What You'll Do
- Operate, perform maintenance, and service repairs on critical data center systems including UPS, PDU, Diesel Generators, ATS equipment, and Building Controls.
- Develop reliability reports to ensure availability and capacity targets are achieved, maintaining 100% uptime.
- Coordinate and oversee all maintenance vendors to ensure personnel safety and protect critical equipment.
- Create and update Method of Procedures (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) for maintenance activities.
- Respond to safety and emergency situations, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge in operating, maintaining, and repairing critical electrical distribution systems and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read commercial building blueprints and understand electrical schematics.
- Strong technical writing skills for creating and modifying MOPs/SOPs/EOPs.
- Reliable transportation for reporting to work for shifts or emergencies.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the electrical or mechanical field.
- Intent to obtain relevant licenses within a reasonable time.
- Formal training in UPS maintenance or similar specialties.
