Pipe Stress Engineer - Remote Contract Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Stress Engineer to join our team remotely on a contract basis. This Pipe Stress Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with px Group, a leader in engineering consultancy. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to delivering high-quality engineering services across various industrial sectors.

What You'll Do

• Lead small projects and provide technical expertise to the piping team.
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation, company standards, and international procedures.
• Produce and review engineering documentation related to piping system design and installation.
• Assist with the layout of equipment and offer scalable solutions.
• Utilize Caesar II for modeling piping systems, performing pressure, sustained, occasional, and thermal analysis.
• Write technical reports and attend various sites to provide guidance and expertise.
• Make informed decisions regarding technical issues, budget considerations, and project schedules.
• Deliver projects on time and within scope.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of piping design codes including ASME B31.3 and EN 13480.
• Experience with Caesar II for piping system modeling.
• Ability to generate stress critical line lists considering temperature and line size.
• Engineering design experience in chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, renewables, and power generation.
• Demonstrated best practices in design assurance and technical change management.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the delivery of minor modifications and supporting projects.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as UK CA marking.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
