What You'll Do

• Provide advanced technical skills necessary to perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Collect specimens, prepare specimens for the laboratory, and maintain accurate medical records of specimens.
• Perform phlebotomy duties in the collection of blood samples through skin puncture and venipuncture.
• Adhere to all procedures for collecting laboratory specimens.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the principles of phlebotomy.
• Follow established safety policies regarding biohazard and sharp exposure.
• Maintain blood culture contamination rates at or below 3% benchmark.
• Ensure patient identification during specimen receipt and unification.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior phlebotomy experience preferred, but we love to teach!
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn.
• Ability to excel in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

• Certification in phlebotomy.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
