What You'll Do
- Provide advanced technical skills necessary to perform phlebotomy procedures.
- Collect specimens, prepare specimens for the laboratory, and maintain accurate medical records of specimens.
- Perform phlebotomy duties in the collection of blood samples through skin puncture and venipuncture.
- Adhere to all procedures for collecting laboratory specimens.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the principles of phlebotomy.
- Follow established safety policies regarding biohazard and sharp exposure.
- Maintain blood culture contamination rates at or below 3% benchmark.
- Ensure patient identification during specimen receipt and unification.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior phlebotomy experience preferred, but we love to teach!
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn.
- Ability to excel in fast-paced environments.

- Certification in phlebotomy.
