About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Senior Product Designer - Enterprise AI remote to join our innovative team at Kernel. As the first Product Designer, you will have end-to-end ownership of the core product UX, simplifying complexity and making a powerful product feel effortless.

What You'll Do

  • Own core UX end-to-end: flows, IA, interaction design, and visual craft.
  • Run ground-truth discovery: lead user interviews, synthesize findings, and turn insights into actionable changes.
  • Prototype quickly using tools like Figma to create high-signal prototypes.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and PM to ensure high-quality production and iterate rapidly.
  • Establish the design foundation: principles, patterns, and a lightweight system that enhances team efficiency.
  • Contribute occasionally to business narratives and presentations as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of shipping meaningful product work with demonstrable decisions and outcomes.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems, not just polish UI.
  • Experience in running independent discovery sessions to uncover user truths.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset with engineers.
  • Ability to move fast and maintain clarity in communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in high-autonomy environments.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products.
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of £85,000 – £95,000 + equity.
  • 24 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays.
  • 2 weeks of work-from-anywhere flexibility.
  • Pension plan and top-spec equipment.
  • Free dinner at the office and regular team events.
  • Visa sponsorship and relocation support for exceptional candidates.
