About the Role

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer - Full Stack remote to join our team at American Technology Consulting (ATC). This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate developer to contribute to impactful projects and help businesses unlock their full potential through innovative technology solutions. As a Ruby on Rails Developer remote, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and be part of a culture that fosters growth and diversity.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Design and optimize database schemas and implement effective design patterns.
  • Develop and maintain background jobs and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps.
  • Follow best practices such as TDD, CI/CD, Agile/SCRUM, refactoring, and coding standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve application performance and scalability.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer.
  • Strong working knowledge of Ruby, Ruby on Rails, RDBMS, and OOP concepts.
  • Solid understanding of database design and software design patterns.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must have U.S. work authorization.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular).
