Materials and Processes Technologist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Materials and Processes Technologist to join our team at MBDA. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with a leading multinational company in the defense technology sector. As a Materials and Processes Technologist, you will play a crucial role in managing projects and conducting scientific characterization of materials, ensuring that we meet the current and future needs of armed forces.

What You'll Do

• Manage technical and programmatic aspects of projects under your responsibility.
• Produce reports, presentations, and schedules related to project progress.
• Conduct scientific characterization of materials and analyze results.
• Organize and conduct testing activities to evaluate materials.
• Select and study materials, analyzing mechanical, physical, and chemical properties for new product development.
• Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support the definition of technological roadmaps and provide technical support to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing specialized technical input.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of material classes and their properties.
• Experience with surface treatment processes and characterization techniques (DSC, TGA, TMA, EDS, ICP, SEM).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Fluent in English (B2/C1 level).
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in national and international contexts.
