Procurement Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist - Remote Opportunity to join our team at Vertiv. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of all direct and indirect materials and services necessary for our production and business needs. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an uninterrupted flow of materials and services to support our development schedules.

What You'll Do

• Maintain an uninterrupted flow of materials/services to support development schedules and business needs.
• Procure materials/services in a timely manner while optimizing costs and ensuring quality.
• Develop and maintain strong buyer-seller relationships.
• Ensure procurement through local and foreign sources in accordance with purchasing policies.
• Select suppliers for inquiries and obtain quotations.
• Confirm lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
• Issue Purchase Orders and ensure accurate Order Acknowledgements.
• Follow up on open Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery from suppliers.
• Coordinate with the Logistics department regarding materials transport organization.
• Monitor supplier performance and capacities to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy in the ERP system, including prices, lead times, and supplier details.

Requirements

• Proficient in PC skills, including Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Previous experience in a similar position is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Oracle, is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Core competencies: detail-oriented, analytical, problem-solving, and a team player.
• Active proficiency in English.
