Service Technician for Robotic Milking Systems - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician for Robotic Milking Systems to join our innovative team at Lely. This remote role allows you to work independently while providing essential support to dairy farmers across North Holland. As a Service Technician, you will ensure that our robotic milking solutions operate efficiently and effectively, making a significant impact on the agricultural technology landscape.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Lely equipment at dairy farms in North Holland.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on robotic milking systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Advise clients on the best practices for utilizing and optimizing their systems.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate these back to the organization.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and trust.

Requirements

• A completed technical education in fields such as mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in a service or maintenance role, preferably in a technical field.
• Affinity for agricultural technology and interest in innovative, data-driven systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach technical challenges from various perspectives.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to participate in on-call service duties.

Nice to Have

• Experience with robotic systems or automation technology.
• Knowledge of dairy farming practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
