IT Systems Manager - On-Site Leadership Role

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Manager to join our team at TEKsystems. This full-time, on-site role is based in Wausau, WI, where you will lead a team of 17 IT professionals across systems, server, storage, cloud, and related infrastructure domains. As an IT Systems Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing operations and collaborating closely with local leadership to ensure optimal performance. This position requires daily on-site presence to support the team and drive initiatives forward.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• Oversee systems and infrastructure operations, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement and manage VMware and Windows environments to support business needs.
• Utilize your expertise in database management and Epic systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Drive project management initiatives to ensure timely delivery of IT services and solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT systems management with a focus on infrastructure leadership.
• Expert-level knowledge of VMware, Windows environments, and database management.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of successful implementations.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of IT professionals.
• Experience in healthcare IT systems, particularly Epic, is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in IT management or specific technologies (e.g., VMware, Microsoft).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks.
