About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Care Assistant to join our team at Woodside in Padiham. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to make a real and positive difference in the lives of older people. As a Residential Care Assistant, you will support older individuals to live their lives in a way that respects their dignity and personal choices. This position is part-time, with a commitment of 21 hours per week, and is ideal for those looking to contribute to their community while enjoying a flexible work schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Provide compassionate care and support to older residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities that enhance their quality of life.
  • Collaborate with a committed team to deliver high-quality care across our facilities.
  • Participate in training programs to meet the standards of The Care Certificate.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions.
  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, and medication management as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Genuine compassion for older people and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Willingness to undergo training and comply with care standards.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of experience and education in the application process.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia.
  • Understanding of the needs of older adults.
  • Additional qualifications in health and social care.
