About the Role

Join Severn Trent as a Process Scientist in a remote capacity, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring water quality and operational efficiency. This position allows you to make a positive impact on the environment while working with a supportive and inclusive team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day technical advice for groundwater treatment works and distribution service reservoirs (DSR).
  • Monitor process performance and review trends to ensure water quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with Process Design Engineers on capital projects to enhance performance and reduce operational risks.
  • Lead investigations into water quality issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
  • Complete Drinking Water Safety Plan (DWSP) audits and support the identification of investment needs for water quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes and issues.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver outputs within agreed timelines.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Word, Excel, SAP, and ESCADA.
  • Experience in commissioning, plant optimization, and providing process support.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in leading water quality improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and trend interpretation.
