IT Manager - Remote Position at BitMEX

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join BitMEX, a leading global exchange for crypto derivatives. This IT Manager remote position offers the opportunity to build and lead a team that supports our operations worldwide. You will identify processes and procedures that can enhance our efficiency and implement them effectively. As the IT Manager, you will manage the IT budget, empower your team, and foster a culture of learning and growth.

What You'll Do

• Lead AI-driven automation initiatives by integrating large language models (LLMs) into core workflows, enhancing processes like automated code reviews and security auditing.
• Oversee the secure deployment and scalability of low-code platforms to streamline complex business processes across departments.
• Modernize Identity and Access Management by automating user lifecycles and integrating HR systems with core platforms.
• Collaborate with department heads to address business needs through emerging technologies as a technical ambassador for AI.
• Establish and govern internal AI infrastructure, ensuring secure access controls and data privacy.
• Implement Zero Trust Architecture (ZTNA) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure a secure and automated environment.
• Develop a high-competency team capable of executing on an ambitious AI-forward roadmap.
• Mentor your team in modern DevOps and security practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

• 15+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and problem resolution.
• Expertise in managing external consultants and leading technical teams.
• Critical thinking and a desire to grow within the role.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python automation and cloud security.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in business.
• Knowledge of security governance frameworks and compliance.
