About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer (AI Training Initiative) remote to join our team. This role involves supporting a short-term research initiative with a leading AI organization. As an Industrial Engineer, you will leverage your real-world expertise to design and evaluate occupation-specific questions and scenarios, enhancing the training of advanced AI systems. The work is fully asynchronous, allowing you to complete tasks on your own schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Design and review occupation-specific questions that reflect professional industrial engineering workflows.
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, realism, and alignment with industry practices.
  • Apply practical engineering knowledge to identify gaps, edge cases, and areas for improvement in AI responses.
  • Provide structured feedback to enhance model performance and instruction-following.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators as needed.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-time professional experience as an Industrial Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes, operations, and systems engineering principles.
  • Ability to clearly articulate professional judgment and decision-making.
  • Comfortable working independently in an asynchronous, remote environment.
  • Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI systems or training initiatives.
  • Familiarity with remote collaboration tools.
  • Previous experience in a contract role.
