What You'll Do

  • Provide expert labor relations advice regarding Collective Bargaining Agreements and applicable legislation.
  • Support the grievance process, including third-party determination case management.
  • Conduct investigations related to workplace violence, harassment, and discrimination.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and performance management administration.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and deliver HR/LR training and guidance across the organization.
  • Support workforce planning, development initiatives, and recruitment efforts.
  • Assist with various projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Labour Studies, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related Human Resources generalist function.
  • Experience in a unionized environment providing labor relations support is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HR software systems and tools.
  • Effective communication skills and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • CHRP designation or a Master's in a related field is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a mining or industrial setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build influential relationships.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
