About the Role

We are seeking a Freelance Business Affairs Manager to join Klick Health's dynamic team. In this Freelance Business Affairs Manager remote position, you will oversee talent and legal components of production projects, ensuring compliance and managing contracts effectively. This role is crucial for supporting our Producers and Creatives in securing necessary talent while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and talent agencies.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee all talent and legal components of projects, acting as a talent affairs manager and rights expert.
  • Support Producers and Creatives in securing necessary talent for various projects.
  • Manage contracts and negotiations with talent unions to ensure compliance and effective agreements.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure project compliance.
  • Provide business management leadership for production, ensuring all aspects are covered.
  • Ensure effective negotiation of contracts and agreements, maintaining a focus on detail.
  • Oversee rights and licensing for all work produced, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  • Create and manage templates and internal processes to streamline operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in talent management and contracts.
  • Familiarity with legal requirements in Canada and the US.
  • Advanced skills in project management and resource management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a related field is an asset.
  • Experience in life sciences is a plus.
  • Ability to create structure while being flexible.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Google Suite.
  • Effective multi-tasking capabilities.
