About the Role

We are seeking a Founding Senior Data Engineer to join Retell AI, a pioneering company in voice automation. This remote role will allow you to build the analytics foundation of our innovative AI platform, which is transforming the call center industry.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and manage data pipelines to ensure seamless integration of user event data into our data warehouse.
  • Develop canonical datasets to track key product metrics, including user growth, engagement, and revenue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, Data Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research, to understand their data needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Create insightful and reliable dashboards to track performance metrics that will inform company-wide strategies.
  • Become an expert in our organization’s data models and architecture.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or in a similar analytics-focused role.
  • Proficiency in writing production-quality SQL and familiarity with Python or similar programming languages.
  • Experience working closely with Product and GTM teams to define impactful metrics.
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment and navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate complex business questions into reliable analytical models.
  • Passion for end-to-end ownership of problems and solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in AI or voice technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations.
