Financial Planning Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our team remotely. In this role, you will support the organization’s financial planning and decision-making processes by delivering accurate analysis, reporting, and forecasting. As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will ensure data-driven financial insights, enabling business leaders to make informed choices regarding performance, investments, and resource allocation.

What You'll Do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and performance analyses.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on revenue, cost, margins, and financial KPIs.
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and business decisions.
• Monitor financial performance trends and proactively flag risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, HR, Operations) to consolidate financial input and validate assumptions.
• Assist in cost-control initiatives, scenario analysis, and investment evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and presentations for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Master’s degree or professional certification (ACCA, CFA) preferred.
• Expert Excel capability.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Experience with BI tools is an asset.
• Understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Analytical thinking & problem-solving.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Stakeholder management & communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Collaboration & cross-functional teamwork.
