Finance Operations Associate - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Operations Associate to join our dynamic Finance Operations Team at PoloWorks. This is a six-month fixed-term contract (FTC) position with an exciting opportunity to work remotely. As a Finance Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in transaction processing and analysis for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

What You'll Do

• Process bank transactions and resolve any issues that arise.
• Conduct weekly and period-end reconciliation and reporting on key ledger and bank accounts.
• Maintain the Time & Materials business application and monitor the integrity of transactions.
• Develop reporting processes to enhance the Finance Function.
• Manage the business passthrough charges process and reconcile credit card expenses to Expensify.
• Support external and internal audit processes.
• Engage in continuous development and improvement of processes and reporting.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Resourceful approach to problem-solving, utilizing strong listening, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to quickly absorb and process complex commercial and financial information.
• Proactive attitude towards task management and ownership of responsibilities.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Motivated to meet deadlines and targets.
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients and suppliers.

Nice to Have

• AAT or relevant finance qualification.
• Understanding of accounting principles and good practices.
• Desire to develop technical experience in Management Accounting.
