ETL Developer with Talend - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an ETL Developer with Talend remote to join our nearshore team at Devoteam Portugal. In this role, you will support a strategic project for our client in Germany, working on the end-to-end implementation of the KUMA product. You will play a crucial role in supporting data architecture and integration between systems using Talend and other modern data tools.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement ETL processes using Talend.
• Manage data integration from PostgreSQL to OpenSearch/ElasticSearch.
• Support and optimize data pipelines and APIs written in Java.
• Work closely with both frontend and backend teams.
• Participate in planning sessions, sprint reviews, and architecture discussions (bi-weekly and weekly rhythms).
• Collaborate in a dynamic agile team with regular ceremonies and coordination with German teams.

Requirements

• Must have +3 years of experience with ETL.
• Strong experience with Talend ETL.
• Solid understanding of data integration, databases, APIs, and data processing workflows.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, and Java-based APIs.
• Experience with JIRA, documentation, and testing processes.
• Good communication skills in English (German is a plus).
• Experience with backend systems; frontend knowledge is a bonus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS, Docker, GitHub, and Concourse CI.
• Familiarity with Confluence.
