Assistant Producer - BBC Audio Radio 3

About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Producer to join the BBC Audio Radio 3 team. This Assistant Producer remote role is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about classical music and audio production. As part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to a variety of programs and help share our love for music with a broad audience.

What You'll Do

• Research stories, identify guests, and build engaging programs such as the New Music Show.
• Support performers during live BBC Philharmonic concerts and deliver episodes of Through the Night.
• Compile running orders for programs like Breakfast and Classical Live.
• Provide presenters with clear, well-sourced notes to reassure them during broadcasts.
• Collaborate with production colleagues and contributors to create first-class audio content across multiple platforms.
• Ensure all content adheres to BBC standards, including editorial, technical, and accessibility guidelines.
• Utilize specialist production skills in a multi-skilled production environment.

Requirements

• Demonstrable understanding of BBC Radio 3’s output and editorial direction.
• Experience in a broadcast or content production environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with research techniques for verifying content accuracy.
• Experience writing clear and concise material for briefs, scripts, and digital platforms.
