Business HSE Environment and Safety Specialist - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a Business HSE Environment and Safety Specialist to join our team at A2A in Brescia. This remote position will allow you to contribute significantly to our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives. As a Business HSE Environment and Safety Specialist, you will support the business in identifying, assessing, and managing HSE risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Gather, analyze, and process data necessary for preparing environmental and safety documentation.
- Analyze HSE KPIs and prepare periodic reports to monitor goal achievement and signal any deviations.
- Assist departments in managing regulatory compliance related to waste, temporary deposits, and ADR transportation.
- Participate in internal and external audits aimed at maintaining and improving HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, etc.).
- Support the registration and analysis of incidents, identifying causes, corrective actions, and preventive measures in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Continuously monitor regulatory developments in HSE, identifying necessary operational actions to ensure corporate compliance.
- Draft, review, and update procedures and operational instructions related to HSE aspects.
- Conduct inspections and site visits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications.
- At least 2 years of experience in similar roles, particularly in Environment and Safety.
- Experience in site inspections.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent knowledge of the Office suite.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
- Soft skills: structured communication approach, synthesis capability, process improvement mindset, relational skills, proactivity, autonomy, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ISO standards.
- Knowledge of additional languages.
- Previous experience in the water cycle management sector.
