Business Development Manager - Web3 / DeFi
About the Role
We are hiring a Business Development Manager (Web3 / DeFi) to join our dynamic team at Magnet. This fully remote position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the DeFi innovation landscape. As a Business Development Manager, you will leverage your existing Web3 network to accelerate growth and expand our network in the crypto ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Utilize your established connections in Web3 to source and onboard new B2B clients.
- Identify DeFi and crypto projects that can benefit from our financial solutions.
- Conduct demo calls and present our protocol solutions to founders, executives, and decision-makers.
- Manage the full business development lifecycle, including outreach, qualification, and closing.
- Build and maintain a partner network consisting of agencies, service providers, and ecosystems that can generate deal flow.
- Motivate partners to actively bring business to our protocol.
- Track pipeline activity and performance within our business development system.
- Provide market feedback and insights from conversations with various projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Web3 business development, particularly within the DeFi sector.
- An active network of crypto founders, protocols, service providers, and ecosystem players.
- Strong understanding of the DeFi landscape and crypto-native financial products.
- Experience selling B2B solutions in Web3.
- Comfortable leading demo calls and explaining technical/financial solutions clearly.
- A self-starter who can manage their own pipeline and deliver results.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- A results-driven mindset with a track record of generating revenue or strategic partnerships.
Nice to Have
- Experience working at a Web3 protocol or infrastructure provider.
- Experience building or managing channel/partner programs.
- Deep understanding of token ecosystems and crypto-native business models.
