About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Axle Assembly and Component Development Engineer to join our team at Mercedes-Benz. This remote position offers the opportunity to lead axle assembly tasks and component development in the Chassis Team, ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

What You'll Do

  • Lead axle assembly tasks in the Chassis Team, ensuring compliance with Mercedes-Benz Development standards.
  • Coordinate with RD HQ, suppliers, purchasing, and quality teams for technical consulting and supplier release.
  • Align timelines and manage the provision of prototype parts for new assembly lines.
  • Implement a lessons-learned process to drive advanced methods for automated quality control.
  • Oversee axle component development tasks, ensuring alignment with Mercedes-Benz Development System.
  • Conduct technical discussions and project meetings with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Release technical requirements including 3D models and 2D drawings to suppliers.
  • Evaluate testing results and provide suspension component/system release based on Mercedes-Benz requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of chassis technology and engineering principles.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with a self-responsible working attitude.
  • High commitment to quality and premium vehicles.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Windows, Office, and CAx (Siemens NX).
  • Strong intercultural competence and communication skills across various hierarchy levels.
  • Willingness to travel within China and to Germany.
  • Overseas study or work experience is a plus; knowledge of German is preferred.
