Videographer - Remote Role in Defence AI

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Videographer to join our team at Helsing, a leading defence AI company. As a Videographer remote, you will play a crucial role in communicating our mission to protect democracies through compelling visual storytelling. You will be responsible for the entire production lifecycle, from creative development to post-production, ensuring that our technology and its impact are effectively conveyed to our audience.

What You'll Do

• Capture content across diverse environments, from controlled studio settings to demanding field conditions.
• Produce documentaries that tell authentic stories about our technology, people, and mission.
• Create product videos that clearly demonstrate our technology and its real-world applications.
• Own projects from concept through post-production and delivery.
• Craft platform-appropriate edits for web, social media, events, and internal communications.
• Collaborate with product and programme teams to visualize our technology and its impact.
• Manage equipment, production logistics, and post-production workflows in both office and field settings.
• Maintain organized project files and assets to support ongoing production and future use.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio demonstrating social-first and performance-oriented work across formats and platforms.
• Exceptional cinematography and storytelling skills, including composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to work independently, lead a small crew, or integrate into larger production teams.
• Deep hands-on editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects.
• Strong creative development and pre-production planning skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and adaptability in unpredictable environments.
• Proficiency in managing multiple projects from pre-production through delivery.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work in demanding field conditions.

Nice to Have

• Military knowledge or experience.
• Existing security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• Drone pilot license and experience with specialized camera systems.
• Motion graphics and animation skills (Cinema 4D, Blender).
• A second language, ideally French or German.
