Specifications, Packaging & Artwork Technologist - Hybrid Role

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Specifications, Packaging & Artwork Technologist to join our team in a hybrid role. This position allows you to work three days a week at our Head Office in Poole, United Kingdom, with occasional travel. As a Specifications, Packaging & Artwork Technologist, you will make an impact at every stage of the product journey. This role combines technical expertise with creative precision, ensuring our product data is accurate and compliant, our packaging is fit for purpose, and our artwork is flawlessly executed. What You'll Do

• Own product specifications and ensure all packaging and labeling are accurate, compliant, and up to date.
• Develop packaging solutions that meet technical, sustainability, consumer, and operational needs.
• Manage artwork from brief to print, ensuring brand consistency and regulatory accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, marketing, operations, procurement, suppliers, and partners to deliver projects smoothly and on time.
• Ensure compliance with food labeling legislation and packaging processes.

Requirements

• A degree in Food Science, Packaging Technology, or similar, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in specification management, packaging development, or artwork coordination (ideally in FMCG).
• Strong understanding of food labeling legislation and packaging/print processes.
• Meticulous attention to detail and confidence managing multiple deadlines.
• A proactive, collaborative attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality work.

Nice to Have

• Experience with sustainability initiatives in packaging.
• Knowledge of design software for artwork management.
• Familiarity with consumer insights and market trends.
