Night Replenishment Supermarket Assistant - Flexible Hours

About the Role

We're hiring a Night Replenishment Supermarket Assistant to join our team at John Lewis Partnership. As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help our difference be felt by our customers on every visit, providing the Partner-led service and passion for food that our competitors can't compete with. What You'll Do

• Ensure stock replenishment, keeping shelves full and products in the right place at the right time for our customers.
• Fulfill online customer orders, preparing them for delivery to customers' doors.
• Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for items nearing their sell-by dates.
• Support the wider shop team as needed, including checkout support and managing Click & Collect orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment through general shopkeeping tasks.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the entire branch as needed.
• Willingness to work night shifts from 21:00 to 07:00 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in retail or supermarket environments.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and work under pressure.

• Competitive hourly pay of £12.40, with an additional Night Premium of £3.50 for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00.
