Senior Developer - Security & Confidential Computing

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Developer for Security & Confidential Computing to join our innovative team at SAP. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the future of cloud-native infrastructure. As a Senior Developer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the security architecture of our IronCore project, which is at the forefront of cloud infrastructure technology.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement security architectures into IronCore cloud infrastructure, focusing on identity, network, and workload protection.
• Implement and operate network security controls, including firewalling, tenant isolation, and policy enforcement.
• Enable encryption at multiple levels of the IronCore Cloud Infrastructure.
• Collaborate with SAP teams and external partners on hardware-based security topics to create a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).
• Develop and maintain code for IronCore open-source components, primarily using Go and C.

Requirements

• Strong experience in cloud infrastructure security, particularly in securing Kubernetes platforms and Linux-based systems.
• Solid background in network security, including firewalling and secure connectivity in cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of Linux and system-level security, including hardening and access control.
• Previous experience with confidential computing technologies, such as Intel SGX or AMD SEV.
• Proficiency in system programming languages, preferably Go or C.
• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

• Experience with cloud-native security tools and practices.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security standards.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
